Multiply Voices & Perspectives (MVP) empowers the voices of middle and high school students in St. Johns County through an experiential learning process that supports diversity, equity and inclusion in their current and future environments.
A rich collection of documentary voices addressing a central theme in American history--freedom. The documents in this collection show that although in some ways universal, the idea of freedom has never been a fixed, timeless concept with a single, unchanging definition.
Dare Not Walk Alone is about the civil rights movement and its aftermath in St. Augustine, Florida, the site of prolonged interracial tension and protests by the NAACP and the SCLC. The most notable protests, including the Monson Motor Lodge swimming pool integration immediately preceded, and arguably precipitated, the signing of the 1964 Civil Rights Act.
A film by Shakti Butler. This film asks America to talk about the causes and consequences of systemic inequity. The film informs you about racial justice and how to commit to positive change.
